Scott McMillian, CPA

President

Scott McMillian founded Advanced Applications in 1987 and is a pioneer in the field of information systems, having developed software, and designed and implemented PC-based systems since 1981. With over 28 years of experience in the field, Scott has unparalleled knowledge of software applications, hardware, networks and operating systems. In addition to his business management responsibilities as President of Advanced Applications, Scott also provides training, project management and technical expertise on accounting system implementations.

Scott has provided over 15,000 hours of instructional training on information and accounting systems to more than 300 companies throughout North America. He began his training experience as an associate instructor at the University of Texas, Austin, where he taught financial planning courses. Incorporating "Accelerated Learning Techniques" into his curriculum, Scott's training sessions are more authentic, powerful and effective

His professional background also includes four years with a multi-national accounting firm. During that time, he provided tax and systems-related services to clients in the real estate, oil and gas and financial services industries.

Scott is a Certified Public Accountant and received a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Sciences and a Masters of Business Administration with a focus in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.

Jaime Schmulson

Jaime Schmulson leads Advanced Applications' Technical Support group, and is responsible for timely and effective response to user's technical issues. With fluency in English and Spanish, Jaime provides support to clients in both North and South America. Mr. Schmulson is also responsible for custom programming projects. His programming and database experience have allowed him to develop cost-effective custom solutions that address the special requirements of our clients. His projects have ranged from the simple automation of repetitive tasks, to automation of complex business processes.

Jaime headed a PC network integration company in Barranquilla, Colombia prior to joining Advanced Applications. In addition, he was a Systems Analyst and MIS with Alfredo Steckerl & Sons in Colombia, South America for 10 years, which developed into a software and consulting firm. Jaime is skilled in the planning, implementation, and support of automated office systems for PC's and PC-Networks, and has extensive experience involving automated accounting and management information systems. He was also responsible for the design, development, implementation and testing of a major accounting and business related software product. Jaime received a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Jeanette Bolling, CPA

Sr. Consultant

Jeanette Bolling, CPA, Senior Consultant, is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She is a Certified Consultant for ACCPAC Plus and Sage Accpac ERP systems, and has provided Sage Accpac systems support and training for over nine years. Additionally, Jeanette has extensive experience spanning a diverse range of industries with widely differing hardware and operating system environments. Jeanette specializes in on-site training and system implementation.

Sheryl Dodge, CPA

Sr. Consultant

Sheryl Dodge, CPA, Senior Consultant, has worked in the accounting systems field since 1997 installing, implementing, training and providing support for a variety of accounting systems. She graduated from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Sheryl worked in the public accounting field for over 15 years consulting with businesses in many different industries. She is a Certified Consultant for Sage Accpac ERP and Sage Pro ERP systems, and has experience with several other accounting and manufacturing software solutions. Sheryl specializes in on-site training and system implementation.

Elizabeth Cunningham, CPA

Sr. Consultant

Elizabeth (Betty) Cunningham, CPA, Senior Consultant, is a Certified Public Accountant and has worked in the accounting systems arena since 1989. After earning her B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Tulsa in 1982, she worked for Arthur Andersen in Dallas, Texas. She was also the Sr. Vice President/Controller of a large mortgage bank for a period of five years. Ms. Cunningham has worked with Sage Software's Accpac products since 1990 and has experience with several other accounting software solutions. She has installed, trained, and provided ongoing support for products including Sage Accpac ERP, ACCPAC Plus, ACCPAC BPI, MIP, and a variety of other accounting systems.

Andrew Taer

Sales & Marketing Manager and CRM Trainer

Andrew Taer is principally responsible for marketing, sales and administrative functions of the organization. Further, as a result of his extensive use of Sage CRM to support his Sales and Marketing efforts he also serves as the Company's primary instructor for Sage CRM client-training.

Before joining Advanced Applications, he was Vice President of Fugro Geosciences, Inc., an environmental and engineering service company. In this role, he was responsible for managing the marketing, sales, operations, and profitability of the company's four regional offices.

Prior to this position, he was a National Sales Manager for Unisys Corporation, and preceding his experience at Unisys, Mr. Taer was a consultant with engineering firms in New England and Texas. He received a Masters in Geology from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and Bachelors in Geology from the State University of New York at Oneonta.

Michael Smart

Application Programmer

Michael Smart specializes in report development, data analysis and technical support for Sage Accpac ERP applications. Prior to joining Advanced Applications, his focus was integrating accounting packages with other applications and building custom data warehouse reporting platforms. Preceding his accounting software background, Michael was one of the primary developers of an inventory control software package, specializing in reducing inventory and increasing turns.

Wendy Schwartz

Office and Customer Service Manager

Wendy Schwartz is responsible for internal administration and accounting operations for Advanced Applications. She also manages customer relations, ensuring that technical support requests are addressed in a timely manner and to our client's satisfaction. Prior to joining Advanced Applications, Wendy was a buyer for a retail/wholesale handbag and jewelry company and was responsible for purchasing and shipping to major retailers in the US.

Wendy also managed a customer service call center for Mountain Bell in Phoenix and US Telecom in Dallas. When Sprint purchased US Telecom in 1985 she was responsible for training the Sprint employees on the acquired software system. Wendy graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in Marketing.
