Back in August 2010, we attended the Third Party Advantage Conference (TPAC),   an annual conference showcasing third party products for Sage ERP Accpac and Sage CRM.  One of the coolest products we saw, if we can use the word “cool” in reference to accounting, was z.Find.  This amazing product lets you perform Google-like searches on your Sage Accpac accounting data.  The best way to see the incredible value of this add-on is to watch the z.Find video we’ve posted.  The video is a recording of a webinar and although its 27 minutes long, you only need to watch the first 5 minutes to understand how it works.

We’ve posted new videos from DCAA, distributors of Sage CRM add-ons for Project Management and Marketing.  Check out the video for the Sage CRM Marketing Center that extends the default Groups feature in SageCRM, providing a better easy to understand interpretation of  your data and the video for Project Manager that integrates with MS Project, provides you with milestones, a great graphical timeline and a means of recording time and expense entries.

New for 2011 we’re posting tutorial and promotional videos for Add-On Products that enhance the functionality of Sage Accpac and SageCRM.  These are videos produced by the software developers and we’re posting them in our library for easy viewing.  There are some amazing add-ons out there, and a video can give you a much better understanding of a product’s value than a feature list can.  We’re going to add more videos in this section as we receive them from the developers, so check back often.

Here’s an inquiry I received yesterday from a Sage Accpac user in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah.

“In the AR module, when I am in Customer Activity, there is a button on the bottom left that says credit status.  Looks to me like it would be a really nice button to click, but when I do, the info is not accurate.  It is not reflecting the $15k order that is in O/E.  Would you please let me know why?”

The short answer is that in A/R setup, you’re given the option to include pending O/E transactions in credit checks, and in this user’s case, the option was not selected.   We produced a short, 3 min 59 sec tutorial video on this very subject, Use Credit Controls in AR and OE to Reduce Risk.
